Experience at Work
Mark is a highly-skilled litigator and founding member of Capes Sokol. He represents clients in complex litigation matters before state and federal courts, arbitrators and administrative boards and agencies. He has broad experience encompassing over 49 years in commercial litigation areas including construction disputes, non-competition litigation, intellectual property, employment issues, real estate, insurance coverage, shareholder disputes and investor fraud. Mark also has extensive experience representing clients in the petroleum and taxi cab industries.
Mark is a certified mediator who brings more than four decades of litigation experience to his mediations. He utilizes this litigation experience to successfully resolve complex business disputes in a variety of industries. Mark has a high rate of success settling cases which have included personal injury, employment disputes, commercial and real estate disputes, and other complex litigation.
In the Community
In 2016, Mark was appointed as a Disciplinary Hearing Officer by the Missouri Supreme Court for a three-year term. In 2019, he was reappointed as a Disciplinary Hearing Officer for a second three-year term. Mark served as an adjunct professor at Saint Louis University School of Law. He also lectures regularly for local and national Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programs.
