Experience at Work
Livinus joined the firm as a member of Capes Sokol’s 2021 Summer Associate class. He attends the University of Notre Dame Law School and will graduate in May 2022.
During his 1L summer, Livinus was a judicial intern for the Hon. Dean T. Kusakabe, Queens County (New York) Family Court. He has also served as a law clerk for the Hon. Richard R. Stalbrink, Jr., of the LaPorte County (Indiana) Superior Court. In this capacity, he gained valuable experience in multiple legal areas, including corporate law, family law, patent law, medical malpractice and administrative practice.
Livinus has also worked as an intern for the American Association of State Colleges and Universities and as a research assistant for the Vigo County Veterans Treatment Court.
In the Community
Livinus is a member of the Black Law Student Association and the marketing editor for the Midwest Journal of Law and Policy, the annual law journal of the National Black Law Students Association, Midwest Region. In this role, he generates and manages the journal’s social media and oversees all campaign advertisements.
Livinus is the immediate past president and current 3L representative for the Notre Dame Law School chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union. During his term as president, Livinus, along with his fellow executive board members, amended and modernized the chapter’s constitution, hosted special events with guest speakers, and co-sponsored events with other organizations.
Livinus currently serves as the 3L representative for the Notre Dame Law School chapter of the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy, one of the nation’s leading progressive legal organizations.
As an undergraduate student, Livinus served as the secretary of the Indiana State University chapter of the American Democracy Project and as a senator on the Student Government Association.
