Schwerin Named 2016 John C. Shepherd Professional Awardee

Michelle F. Schwerin, an Associate of Capes Sokol, was chosen by the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis (BAMSL) selection committee as the 2016-2017 John C. Shepherd Professional Awardee.

The award is presented annually to a young lawyer who best exemplifies BAMSL’s tenets of professionalism. The award is named after the late John C. Shepherd, a past BAMSL and ABA president, who epitomized the word professionalism in his demeanor and his practice.

“This is a huge honor given annually by BAMSL to a young lawyer who exemplifies the word professionalism in her demeanor and practice,” said Douglas Dove, a Shareholder of Capes Sokol. “We have known this for years about Michelle, and now our peers in the St. Louis legal community have seen fit to also recognize what an incredible legal talent she is.”

Michelle will be presented with the John C. Shepherd Professionalism Award at the 2016 Law Day event on April 29th. For more information about the event, please visit: 2016 BAMSL Law Day
