On April 22, 2019, Michael A. Kahn will present a session titled, “Copyright Myth Busters,” at a Business Edge Workshop sponsored by the Volunteer Attorneys and Accountants for the Arts. This presentation is provided in collaboration with the Copyright Alliance and celebrating World IP Week.

  • Attorney Michael Kahn, Capes Sokol, will debunk widespread misperceptions about copyright, such as: registration is required to get copyright protection; if it’s on the internet, its free; background music on YouTube videos is a fair use and more.

This series is designed to increase the business savvy of St. Louis region’s artists. There are ten seminars offered annually for individual artists and arts organizations.
