Joe Edwards receives award for Loop Moonrise Hotel Project

On October 9, 2009, at the City of St. Louis Annual Business Celebration Luncheon hosted by Mayor Francis Slay and the St. Louis Development Corporation, Joe Edwards received a Developer/Development of the year award for the Moonrise Hotel project in The Loop. The awards program described the Hotel: Located on one of America’s “Ten Great Streets,” as designated by the American Planning Association, Moonrise Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel that reflects The Loop’s independent, eclectic, and diverse character. Capped by a 10-foot diameter revolving lunar replica, Moonrise Hotel has 125 imaginatively decorated rooms, 10 spectacular St. Louis Walk of Fame Suites, 2,000 square feet of meeting space, and display cases filled with space mission memorabilia, astronaut photos, and moon-related toys. The Hotel’s Eclipse Restaurant and Bar offers a culinary journey through casual fine dining cuisine that combines fresh ingredients and innovative presentation—open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night. One can watch the sun set and moon rise on the Rooftop Terrace Bar while enjoying signature cocktails and a dramatic view of The Loop and St. Louis skyline. The Moonrise offers every business and personal amenity to be expected in a luxury hotel.

John S. Meyer, Jr. and Capes, Sokol, Goodman & Sarachan, P.C. are proud to have been the lead law firm working with Joe Edwards to convert his vision to reality.
