Jeffrey A. Cohen receives leadership award from The Crown Center for Senior Living

“Taste of Crown” Event

This festive celebration will recognize the individual, foundation and corporate donors who contributed to Circle@Crown project; an innovative expansion of programs and services for senior adults who live in and around Crown Center for Senior Living in University City, inspired by the Chicago based Mather’s Café Plus model.

Leadership awards for their vision in creating the Circle@Crown project will be presented to Board Members Jeffrey Cohen, a an attorney who is the Managing Shareholder of Capes, Sokol, Goodman & Sarachan, P.C.; and Sally Altman, Manager, News Partnerships at St. Louis Public Radio. The project includes a new Culinary Studio, Fitness Center, Community Garden & Greenhouse, and a kosher Café/coffee house.

The event will feature samples of delicious café fare and a taste of the wide variety of gardening, fitness, and culinary programs now available.

Crown Center for Senior Living is a non-profit agency in University City, providing affordable housing and supportive services to a diverse population of over 250 people with limited financial resources, age 62 and over. Founded in 1967, today Crown Center serves as a resource to older adults in the area for programming and services specifically designed to support and maintain independence and active living.
