Cooley to Present on Appeals for 2018 MoBar Trial Experience Seminar

On June 22, 2018, Drey A. Cooley will present at the Missouri Bar’s 2018 “Trial Experience” full-day seminar in St. Louis, Missouri. His session is entitled, “Preserving Objections and Arguments for Appeal”.

 

Presentation Description: Preserving Objections and Arguments for Appeal

  • Drey will speak on the fundamentals for preserving error at the trial level.  The presentation will address routine preservation mistakes committed by trial practitioners and offer practical tips for protecting the record.  Topics will include pre-trial motions, summary judgment, proper objections on the record, motions in limine, jury instructions, offers of proof and post-trial matters.
