Capes Sokol Welcomes New Litigation Shareholder

 

The law firm of Capes Sokol is pleased to announce that Susan L. Werstak has joined the Firm as a Shareholder. She will be a member of the firm’s Litigation and Product Liability Defense practice groups.

Miller, Chair of the firm’s Litigation group. “She brings to Capes Sokol substantial trial and litigation management experience handling complex matters in high-stakes lawsuits. Her passion for impeccable client service will be a tremendous asset to our clients and our team.

Sue represents major consumer and commercial products companies in high-stakes litigation in state and federal courts nationwide.  Over the past two decades, Sue has defended clients in complex mass tort actions, class actions, consolidated and individual personal injury actions, medical monitoring class actions and cost recovery actions.

In addition to serving as trial counsel in complex high-profile cases in courtrooms across the country, Sue also leads defense teams in suits with multiple industry defendants and law firms. In these cases, she takes an active role in developing pre-trial and trial defense strategy, analysis of medical, scientific and financial records and development of fact and expert witnesses.

Sue earned her juris doctorate, magna cum laude, from Villanova University School of Law in 1997 and her bachelor of the arts in Political Science, magna cum laude, from Stonehill College in 1994.

Sue follows recent additions to the firm in the past year, including a new Digital Currency and Blockchain Technology practice group, three new Shareholders and three new Associates.
