The law firm of Capes Sokol is pleased to announce that Heidi M. Ottsen has joined the firm as Counsel to the Trusts & Estates group.

Most recently, Heidi Ottsen was a Partner at Muhm & Reilly, where she gained valuable experience in estate planning and taxation. She serves as personal counsel to her clients, and her practice extends to all aspects of sophisticated planning, trust and estate administration, wealth preservation, and charitable giving.

Prior to joining Muhm & Reilly in 2010, Heidi was a Principal with Paule, Camazine & Blumenthal. Her career includes previous fiduciary planning and administration positions with Love, Lacks & Paule and First Colonial Trust Company.

Heidi earned her Master of Laws in Taxation from Washington University School of Law in 1997, her Juris Doctor from Washington University School of Law in 1993 and her Bachelor’s Degree in Economics with distinction from DePauw University in 1988. Heidi is admitted to practice law in Missouri and is a member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis. Outside of her active practice, she is involved with Westminster Christian Academy, where her children attend school.
