A client of Shareholder Gary R. Sarachan was awarded 4 million dollars in actual damages and an additional 5.6 million dollars in punitive damages for a total of 9.6 million dollars by a Franklin County Jury on April 28, 2011, for the wrongful death of her son.

The suit arose from an airplane crash in July, 2006, in Sullivan, Missouri killing 5 persons and injuring 2 others. Suit was brought against the manufacturer of an engine part which failed due to its defective condition causing the airplane engine to catch fire.
