The Appellate Practice group at Capes, Sokol, Goodman & Sarachan, P.C. litigates appeals and writs in federal and state appellate courts. We also work as a team with trial counsel during the life-cycle of a case from the initial meeting between the client and counsel, proceeding through pleadings, pre-trial motion practice, trial and appeal, to assist with strategy, dispositive motions, evidentiary motions and post-judgment pleadings. Because we have been effective at appellate advocacy, we also represent clients in post-trial and appellate matters that have been handled by lawyers from other firms.
Our group’s substantive focus cuts across all areas of the firm’s practice, including litigation arising from commercial, contract, tort, employment, family law, insurance, trust and white collar matters.
